Dorothy Bruno Hills Indoor Tennis League
Our History and Mission

The Dorothy Bruno Hills Indoor Tennis League (DBHITL or DBH) is an organization created for women tennis players in the Greater Boston Area who wish to be involved in competitive daytime team doubles tennis.  Mrs. Preston and Mrs. Wightman founded the League in 1951 and named it for the late Mrs. Dorothy Bruno Hills, one of New England’s most outstanding and dedicated players.

Our mission is to provide an opportunity for adult women to enjoy competitive indoor doubles in a socially friendly environment during the fall and winter seasons. The League consists of five divisions with four lines competing for each team and offers play at many skill levels. The DBHITL is a 501(c)(3) organization and, as such, may donate treasury surpluses to tennis-related charitable programs.
